April 10, 2025(Longview, WA) — The nonprofit HEVIN – Helping Every Veteran In Need – has received a $13,000 grant from Longview’s Health Care Foundation to be used for building wheelchair ramps for local veterans.
This grant, along with partnerships with other local organizations, will allow HEVIN to provide both the supplies and labor.
Rhonda Black, the director of HEVIN said, “This grant allows us to take meaningful action to improve the daily lives of veterans who may otherwise be isolated or unable to safely leave their homes. We are incredibly grateful to The Health Care Foundation for recognizing this need and helping us meet it.”
