Local Artists Receive Honors—KLOG 100.7 News

(Vancouver, WA) – Several local high school art students received honors at the Educational Service District 112 Regional High School Art Show on Wednesday.

Caelyn Smith, Aiden Lloyd and Mia Johnson, all of Kelso HS, were joined by LeeAnn Higgins of R.A. Long and Hannah Kessler of Mark Morris received Regional Awards for their work and they will advance to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction Art Show on May 14.

ESD 112 Awards went to R.A. Long’s Lucas Young and Velencia Hernandez of Mark Morris.

Higgins and Johnson also garnered CWU Scholarship Awards.  Smith and Kessler also received Pacific Northwest College of Art scholarship awards.

Several other local high school artists also were given honorable mention awards at the show that was presented on You Tube.
