April 3, 2025A Woodland woman has been sentenced to over a year in prison for felony child rape.
The Daily News reports that 22-year-old Magli Ramirez pleaded guilty to third-degree rape of a child in February. Last week, she was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, along with 36 months of community custody.
The Kelso Police Department launched an investigation after receiving a tip in September 2022 that Ramirez had a second child with a 15-year-old boy, despite a protection order preventing them from having contact. Ramirez was 19 at the time.
Ramirez met the father of her children in 2019, when she was 16 and he was 12; their age gap is 4 and a half years. They had their first child together in 2020, which resulted in the protection order being issued in 2021.
While pregnant with her first child, Ramirez pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation. The two had reportedly been living at the victim’s mother’s home at the time. Ramirez was arrested three times in 2021 for violating the no-contact order.
