April 3, 2025Washington’s 3rd District Congressional Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has announced the start of this year’s Congressional Art Competition for high school students.
Ninth through twelfth graders in the 3rd District can submit an original artwork for a chance to have their piece displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year, as well as on the Congressional Art Competition website. The winner will also receive two paid round-trip plane tickets to attend the Congressional Art Competition National Reception in Washington, D.C., on June 11th.
Students have until midnight on April 28th to enter. The winner will be selected by a panel of Southwest Washington arts leaders. For details on the rules and how to submit, visit: gluesenkampperez.house.gov/congressional-art-competition
Representative Perez said yesterday, “This competition is an opportunity to represent Southwest Washington with pride and showcase our local talent.
