Some residents were displaced after a fire broke out yesterday afternoon off Ocean Beach Highway in Longview.

Fire crews responded to a two-story apartment complex in the 3900 block of Ocean Beach Highway, near McDonald’s, just after noon. Smoke was reported coming from the second floor, and the fire was quickly knocked down within minutes. The cause of the fire has not yet been reported.

Two apartment units sustained smoke damage, and three residents from those units are receiving assistance from the Red Cross while displaced. No injuries have been reported.
