A duplex fire broke out yesterday afternoon off 30th Avenue in Longview.
Just after 4 p.m., fire personnel arrived at the residences in the 2000 block of 30th Avenue. Heavy smoke was reported in the area, and it was confirmed to be a working fire. Within minutes, 30th Avenue was shut down between Maryland and Maple Streets.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze within the hour, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
