(Longview, WA) – A person was helped off Mount St. Helens last Friday after suffering a serious cut to the leg while skiing near the crater rim.
The unidentified person was accompanied by a nurse who stopped the bleeding and gave initial care until the Volcano Rescue Team could arrive with snowmobiles.
The injured person was driven to the hospital for further treatment.
