Around 800 customers were without power yesterday afternoon along West Side Highway in Castle Rock and the Lexington area.

The outage was first reported around 2:17 p.m., with power not being restored until approximately 4:10 p.m. The outage was reportedly caused when a contractor accidentally dug up a cable during excavation work.
