The Skyo Fire in east Lewis County near Packwood has continued to creep up in size, breaking 200 acres as of the latest update, but there is good news: progress has been made on containment.

As of last evening, the lightning-caused blaze was listed at 202.5 acres in size and now 25% contained, up 5% from the day prior.

Level 1 “Be Ready” advisories remain in effect; however, the blaze has been spreading away from homes in the area.
