If you drive on I-5 in the Kelso area today, be prepared for potential delays.

There will be a single-lane closure in both directions of the freeway from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In the northbound direction, the closure will be between Pleasant Hill Road at milepost 43 and Lexington Bridge Drive at milepost 45. The southbound closure will extend from Exit 46 at Headquarters Road to Pleasant Hill Road.

The closure is to allow Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews to repair and install permanent traffic recorder sensors that collect data, including traffic volumes, vehicle counts, and speed.
