April 24, 2025The Silver Lake Resort has been recognized for its environmental impact. In a Facebook post on Tuesday—which was Earth Day—the resort announced that it has received the Plan-It-Green designation from the Outdoor Hospitality Industry.
This honor is awarded for a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Silver Lake Resort says that over the past few years, it has made meaningful changes to help protect the natural beauty of the area. Those changes include installing recycling and compost stations, upgrading buildings with energy-efficient features, switching to biodegradable cleaning products, adopting native landscaping and pollinator gardens, and banning herbicides and pesticides.
