April 4, 2025Sharon Gail Starkey: August 16, 1938 – March 31, 2025
LONGVIEW- Sharon Gail Starkey passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, in Longview, WA, at the age of 86.
Born Sharon Gail Lilly on August 16, 1938, in Lakeview, OR, to wonderful parents Jenny lone McCoul and Leroy Chester Lilly. Sharon was known for her sweet, friendly, affectionate, and caring personality, traits that endeared her to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Sharon was a devoted homemaker, a role she cherished deeply, alongside her love for reading, solving puzzles, and watching game shows. Her commitment to her family was paramount, and she created a warm and loving home for her children and extended family.
Sharon was a Lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she found great solace and peace. Her faith played a significant role in her life and provided her with much comfort and guidance.
She is survived by her Loving sons, Terry, Jerry, Doug, Jeff, Greg, and Brad, and her daughter, Lori. Sharon also leaves behind two sisters Shirley Johnson and Barbara Selby, a brother Gordon LiIly, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her brother WilI Lilly, her parents, her sister Donna Curtis, her nephews Curtis Michael and Ken Curtis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, details of which are to be determined. In Lieu of flowers, Sharon’s family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s, a cause close to her heart and supported by her for many years. Sharon’s kindness and warmth will be remembered by all who were fortunate to have known her.
