The Washington State Department of Commerce has announced 38 grants totaling $36.6 million to support the planning, design, and implementation of clean energy projects across the state. Among those 38 grants is $450,000 awarded to the Port of Longview for its Electrification Roadmap Project.

These projects, funded through Commerce’s Clean Energy Community Grants program, aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while delivering benefits to tribes, overburdened communities, and vulnerable populations across Washington.

The Port of Longview launched its Climate Action Strategy in 2022, saying the goal was to stay competitive for future grant opportunities, prepare for market growth, and be ready for regulatory changes.
