Distracted Driving Rollover Crash in Castle Rock—Klog 100.7 News

There were no injuries in a distracted driving crash in Castle Rock on Wednesday afternoon.

Captain Jeff Gann of the Castle Rock Police Department said that around 4 p.m., officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident in the 500 block of Huntington Avenue North, right next to the I-5 northbound on-ramp. The driver, a 43-year-old Castle Rock man, had rolled his vehicle but was not injured.

The man admitted to using his cell phone at the time of the crash, which contributed to the accident. Traffic was affected for about 20 minutes while the vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver was cited for Dangerously Distracted Driving.

Captain Gann says this serves as a reminder that using a cell phone while driving can not only result in a citation, but it can also put lives and property in serious danger.
