April 25, 2025Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on West Side Highway near the Carnival Market.
Arriving medical units transported 24-year-old Elijah McPherson of Auburn and 22-year-old Raven Seaman of Longview by ambulance to St. John Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. McPherson was heading northbound in a 2014 Kia Soul and had stopped for a red light near the Carnival Market. Behind him, 52-year-old Richard Khehr of Longview was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry. Khehr failed to slow down in time and rear-ended the Kia.
Seaman and another woman from Kelso were riding with McPherson. That second passenger and Khehr were not injured.
Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt, and no drugs or alcohol were involved.
