If you need to stop and use the restroom, you’ll have to do it somewhere else along I-5 next week—the Toutle River Rest Areas will be closed for annual maintenance.
Both the northbound and southbound rest areas at milepost 54, just north of Castle Rock, will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Monday. The closures will last until 4:30 p.m. next Thursday.
During the maintenance work, each location will be cleaned. Crews will inspect electrical equipment and plumbing, and the septic tanks will be serviced.
