The Port of Kalama has filled their open District #1 Commissioner seat; Taryn Nelson was picked from a pool of 4 candidates. Nelson, one of the owners of Kalama Real Estate, will remain in the seat for the last two years of the term. 

The opening came after longtime Port Commissioner Randy Sweet stepped down from the position after nearly 2 decades.
