A $50,000 grant is being allocated toward local cancer treatment. This week, the PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center Foundation announced that it has received the funds from the Health Care Foundation.

The money will be used to purchase a new linear accelerator for radiation oncology treatments. This new accelerator will enhance the speed and accuracy of treatments.

Amy Leggio, the executive director of the PeaceHealth St. John Foundation, stated: “This grant is instrumental in bringing innovative technology to our community, ultimately improving outcomes and quality of life for our cancer patients.”
