April 23, 2025One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash yesterday afternoon on Interstate 5 in Kalama.
35-year-old Olivia Moulton of Ridgefield was taken to St. John Medical Center by ambulance after help arrived on the scene.
According to the Washington State Patrol report, the crash occurred at 4:37 p.m. at milepost 31 on northbound I-5. All three vehicles had been in the left lane, slowing for traffic, when a 2023 Subaru Forester driven by 71-year-old Denise Baker of Clatskanie failed to stop in time and struck a 2022 Toyota RAV4 driven by Moulton. A 2021 Jeep Wrangler driven by 22-year-old Kyley Storie of Woodland then struck Baker’s Forester from behind.
Baker and Storie were not injured. All three drivers were wearing seatbelts, and no drugs or alcohol were involved. The Washington State Patrol reports that the cause of the crash was following too closely, but no charges were filed.
