March 4, 2025Longview Police Street Crimes detectives were able to successfully arrest a Hoquiam fugitive with multiple felony warrants on Friday, but not before he allegedly attempted to flee.
Longview Police Captain Brandon McNew reports that the arrest occurred at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Hudson Street. Detectives had been conducting plainclothes surveillance and identified 23-year-old Treyton Reid-Hancock operating a vehicle with a known associate, 22-year-old Amellia McCauley of Longview, who also had active warrants.
Reid-Hancock had been wanted on a felony warrant for robbery and several other warrants outside of Cowlitz County. Officers proceeded with caution due to his history of resisting arrest and a recent firearms-related assault charge.
The stop was initiated after he exited the Safeway parking lot. Officers used their vehicles to pin the car. Officers then reported that he resisted arrest, causing them to deploy a taser on him.
During the incident, McCauley was also taken into custody. Both individuals were booked into Cowlitz County Jail on multiple charges.
No officers were injured during the incident.
