Longview Police Arrest Fugitive Who Attempts to Flee—Klog 100.7 News
March 4, 2025Some good news for a local eatery that was devastated by a fire in downtown Longview back in January: the Country Folks Deli is scheduled to reopen in just under two weeks on March 17th. Initially, they planned to open on the 10th, but the owner, Paige Espinoza, said that there was still a lot of work to be done, so they pushed it back a week.
The fire occurred next door to the Country Folks Deli at the All In Saloon early on the morning of January 26th. The All In Saloon has not said when they plan on reopening, but it’s not anticipated to be anytime soon.
The other affected business, Kathie’s Clutters and Crafts, will not be reopening. The store’s owner, Kathie Frost, posted on Facebook last month, “It comes with immense regret and sadness to announce the closing of Kathie’s Clutters and Crafts.”
Frost said that the store suffered severe smoke and structural damage that will take a long time to repair. She also mentioned that she is retiring.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
