In the last few weeks, the closure of hundreds of Rite Aid pharmacies has been announced throughout the country. Now the Longview and Kelso Rite Aids are joining that list.

The company has not made an official announcement regarding our local stores, but an employee confirmed with us yesterday that they have been told the stores are closing. They said the official closure date has not been announced, but they believe it will be sometime in July.

Rite Aid filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy just over two weeks ago. So far, the company has announced the closure of eight other Washington stores.
