Tonight’s Longview City Council meeting features a packed agenda, including the annual Police Department report, a resolution to switch to all monthly billing for city utility customers, and a discussion on the Severe Weather Shelter.

The 2025 annual Longview Police Department report is a yearly presentation given by Chief Robert Huhta. It will include all sorts of numbers and statistics for last year, with comparisons to years prior.

The resolution to switch to all monthly bills for city utility customers comes after some residents currently are on bi-monthly billing cycles.

And the discussion on the Severe Weather Shelter will be regarding the direction that the council wants to go in moving forward and whether or not it will remain in the McClelland Center.
