The Kelso School District has received the Zo8 Award for the third year in a row from the Washington State Health Care Authority’s Washington Wellness initiative.

This award recognizes the district’s commitment to building and sustaining a robust employee wellness program. According to the district, “the health and well-being of staff is a top priority.” Kelso has implemented a comprehensive workplace wellness program as part of its strategic plan. The district also offers an employee assistance program that provides free and confidential resources, including access to counseling, training, and informational sessions, along with quarterly wellness surveys for all employees.

The district’s Wellness Committee, managed by Human Resources Director Dr. Holly Budge, coordinates these efforts.
