A Mukilteo, Washington, woman was hospitalized after a crash on Interstate 5 in Kelso yesterday afternoon.

The Washington State Patrol says that 43-year-old Crystal Adams was driving a 2026 Kia Sportage SUV southbound near Exit 39 when she struck the left guardrail, overcorrected, and then struck the right barrier.

When EMTs arrived on the scene, Adams was found to be injured, and she was taken to St. John Medical Center for treatment. Troopers say she had not been wearing a seatbelt and that she was driving too fast. She has been given a citation for the incident.
