A tragedy occurred in Castle Rock yesterday: a two-vehicle rollover collision that resulted in a death near town.

First responders were on the scene at the 1300 block of Huntington Avenue South, right next to Lions Pride Park, around 12:20 p.m. It was reported that one vehicle was on its side with someone still inside. Within about 10 minutes, the roadway was closed. A few minutes later, it was confirmed that someone had died.

As of now, the names of those involved and the circumstances leading to the crash are not known. The roadway did not reopen until just after 4 p.m.
