The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments wants to hear from the public about their plan to make local roads safer.

Tonight, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., the council will present a draft of their comprehensive safety action plan for Cowlitz County and Rainier during an open house at the Cowlitz County Event Center. The plan aims to reduce injuries and fatalities on local roads.

At the open house, the council will explain the process behind developing the plan and discuss some of the feedback they’ve received from the public so far.
