Some exciting news for a local star: an R.A. Long High School graduate has made his return to Broadway.

Clatskanie native Cole Escola is once again playing Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary!, a popular comedy show he was a playwright for. Escola, along with two other cast members, had previously stepped back from the production in January. The show originally debuted in July 2024.

Oh, Mary! has received widespread praise and won several awards during its off-Broadway run. With Tony Award nominations set for May 1, both the show and Escola are expected to draw attention.

On June 8, Stateworks Northwest in Longview will host a celebration of Escola during a Tony Awards watch party.
