April 14, 2025There was a serious crash Friday evening in the Coal Creek area.
EMTs responded to the 1000 block of Coal Creek Road around 9:40 p.m. It was reported as a single-vehicle crash, with the vehicle sustaining extensive damage. Within minutes, Life Flight was activated, with a landing zone set up near Ocean Beach Highway. However, the airlift was canceled in a few minutes.
The driver was transported by ambulance with full trauma to St. John Medical Center. The cause of the crash has not been reported.
