A man was fatally struck by an Amtrak train in Kelso on Saturday afternoon.

KPTV reports that the train, which had been traveling northbound to Seattle, was stopped around 5 p.m. after it reportedly hit someone near 1st Avenue and Church Street, just under the Cowlitz Way Bridge. The trains were stopped for several hours, and eventually another train arrived and all passengers on board were transferred.

As of now, it has not been reported whether this was a suicide, and the name of the person who was struck has not been released.
