There was a crash between an electric scooter rider and a car in the St. Helens High School parking lot last Thursday morning.

The Columbia County Spotlight reports that neither party involved sustained any injuries; however, it was confirmed that the scooter rider was a juvenile. First responders were called to the scene around 8 a.m. It was reported that the collision occurred as the car was turning into the parking lot.

The individuals involved were checked over by medical personnel at the scene and were released. No citations were issued.

The district sent out a release to families shortly after the incident, stating: “We understand that this may have been upsetting for those who witnessed the accident, and we encourage anyone in need of support to reach out to our counseling staff today.”
