A woman arrested Friday for climbing on the Lewis and Clark Bridge failed to appear for a preliminary hearing in court yesterday.

The Daily News reports that 36-year-old Crystal Lynette Griffin of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was scheduled to appear at 1 p.m. in the Cowlitz County Jail courtroom.

Despite not being at the court hearing Griffin was still listed as an inmate yesterday afternoon and no bail was set. She was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, felony harassment and possession of a known controlled substance.

Longview police say Griffin climbed the bridge railing, ran back and forth across the roadway to avoid officers, and threatened to jump, causing traffic to be held up.
