    The Northwest Film Festival is on now through Monday at venues all over the area. Get tickets and more at FilmFest8.com.

    The Veterans Stand Down and Expo is Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cowlitz County Events Center. You’ll find free services just for veterans, including employment help, housing opportunities, medical, dental, and counseling services, financial training, surplus giveaways, VA assistance, and even free haircuts.

    The Knights of Columbus are doing their Hamburger Feeds before all the home Kelso football games at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. All proceeds will go to the Clothes for Kids Fund.

    See The Women of Lockerbie at the Love Street Playhouse in Woodland: weekends from October 2nd to 25th. Evening and matinee options. It’s a fictional drama set seven years after the 1988 terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.

    Cinema of Horrors is celebrating 10 years in the old abandoned Three Rivers Cinema at Three Rivers Crossing in Kelso. Tickets are on sale now for select nights through November 1st.

    Saturday:

    The Longview Early Edition Rotary Harvest Classic 5K, 10K, & Pee Wee Fun Run is on Saturday, starting at Lifeworks in Longview. Come welcome fall starting at 8 a.m. and, more importantly, help fight hunger in our community! Get your tickets at rotaryharvestclassic.org.

    Monthly breakfasts are back at the Sons of Norway! On Saturday, 8:30–10:30 a.m. at the Sons of Norway Lodge in Kelso, come enjoy Norwegian waffles, Swedish pancakes, scrambled eggs, baked ham, lingonberry jam, syrup, coffee, tea, and juice.

    The Cowlitz County Farmers Market is every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Cowlitz County Fairgrounds.

    The Longview Library Foundation Gala “A Century of Stories” is Saturday, 6–8:30 p.m. at the Longview Public Library.

    The Lelooska Foundation’s Living History Performance on Saturday starts at 6 p.m. Center grounds at the foundation in Ariel open at 5 p.m. This is your chance to experience masks, songs, dances, and stories of local Native people.

    Sunday:

    The Castle Rock Sunday Market runs 11 a.m.–3 p.m. every Sunday through October, right at Haircut Express in Castle Rock.
