The name of the person LifeFlighted after a single-vehicle crash in Kalama Friday afternoon has been identified as 45-year-old Jason Closson of Kalama. The Daily News reports that Closson remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Old Pacific Highway and Kalama River Road. It was reported that the vehicle caught fire, and upon arrival, first responders determined that Closson’s injuries were severe enough that a LifeFlight was needed.
He was taken by LifeFlight to an area hospital from Haydu Park. Two children had also been in the vehicle, but they were not injured. The cause of the crash is still not known at this time.
