Two bodies were discovered inside a home in Winlock late Tuesday night, prompting local authorities to treat the case as a potential double homicide.

Officers from the Winlock Police Department responded to a welfare check request around 10 p.m. Tuesday on the 400 block of Byham Road, near the Winlock Skate Park. Upon arrival, they made forced entry into the residence, where they found two deceased individuals.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement Wednesday, confirming that a homicide investigation is ongoing. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, authorities have not released additional details. Autopsies will be performed to identify the victims and determine the cause of death.
