Some local heroes have completed new certifications to help people in the community.

Last Thursday, nearly two dozen regional first responders received their EMT certification during a ceremony at Kelso High School. The new EMTs are part of fire and law enforcement agencies from Cowlitz, Lewis, Wahkiakum, and Clark counties.
