There were multiple injuries in a hit-and-run crash north of Napavine Friday morning that included two Longview residents.
The Washington State Patrol reports that the collision happened just before 9:40 a.m. at milepost 72 of the roadway, just past Exit 71. An unidentified vehicle struck a 2008 Toyota RAV4 driven by 51-year-old Miguel Tercero of Longview as it was changing lanes on southbound I-5. The RAV4 reportedly struck the barrier, rolled, and then came to rest on the left shoulder as the unidentified vehicle drove away.
Tercero and all of his passengers, including 48-year-old Velasquez Erestina of Longview, 31-year-old Juana Velasquez of Centralia, and a 14-month-old, were all taken by ambulance to Providence Central Hospital. They all had been wearing seatbelts.
As of now, no description of the other vehicle involved has been provided.
