An Olympia man was hospitalized late Saturday night following a motorcycle crash on I-5 near Castle Rock.
According to the Washington State Patrol, 40-year-old Paul Coalman was riding southbound at a high rate of speed near milepost 48 around 11:18 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle for unknown reasons. The bike struck the roadway, ejecting Coalman before coming to rest in the left lane.
Coalman was wearing a helmet and was transported by ambulance to St. John Medical Center. Troopers say drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash. The cause remains under investigation.
