A Puyallup man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-5 north of Castle Rock yesterday morning.

First responders were on the scene of I-5 southbound at milepost 54 near the Toutle Rest Area around 11:12 a.m. There, they found 21-year-old Marshall Reed inside an Audi A6, injured. He was transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center. The other vehicle involved was a 2015 Dodge Ram with a trailer. Its driver, 50-year-old Harold Bishop of Eatonville, and his two passengers were not injured.

According to the Washington State Patrol report, the Audi struck the Ram from behind, causing the truck to lose control and collide with the center median. The Ram came to rest, partially blocking the left lane. The Audi veered off the roadway to the right and came to rest about 30 feet down an embankment.

Everyone involved had been wearing seatbelts, and no drugs or alcohol were involved. Reed has been charged with going too fast for conditions.
