A grain barge partially sank Friday afternoon on the Columbia River near Kalama.

The Columbia County Marine Patrol posted photos of the barge sitting in the water shortly before 3 p.m., saying, “Whoops. Near Kalama. Operator and the U.S. Coast Guard have been notified.”

The barge had been pushed by a tugboat at the time.
