Man Get’s 20 Months For Attacking Woman in Her Home—Klog 100.7 News
April 24, 2025A bit of a strange one: the Washington State Patrol reports that they’ve received numerous reports of people attempting to sell fake gold across the state on freeways.
Specifically in District 5, which covers most of Southwest Washington, this has become an issue, with 61 different reports of “gold sellers,” and the vast majority of those reports have come in just since January. The Washington State Patrol is warning that these are scams.
They say this is illegal and, in many cases, unsafe. The scammers are stopping on freeways and ramps to try and make their sales. There have even been reports of them stepping out into traffic, flagging drivers to pull over.
If you encounter this situation, you are advised not to stop and talk to them. Once it’s safe, call 911 and provide a location and description of the scammers and their vehicles.
