One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash involving a C-TRAN bus in La Center yesterday morning.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened just after 10:40 a.m. on Northwest La Center Road, which runs between Ilani and La Center. Investigators say a Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling westbound appears to have crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck the front corner of the bus, triggering a chain-reaction crash involving a minivan.

The female driver of the PT Cruiser, who was the only person in the car, died. She has yet to be publicly identified. Minor injuries were reported among passengers on the bus, while an adult and child in the minivan were not injured.

The sheriff’s office Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating.
