Cowlitz Fire District 6 says firefighters responded to an electrical fire at a home in Castle Rock yesterday morning.

The homeowner called 911 after finding the house full of smoke and not knowing where it was coming from.

Firefighters found no flames showing from outside, but inside, they discovered an electrical fire involving several extension cords plugged into a power strip. The power strip caught fire and started burning through the wood floor.

The district shared a photo of the burned power strip as a reminder not to overload power strips.
