3 Dead in Thurston County Crash on I-5—Klog 100.7 News

Three people were killed early yesterday morning in a wrong-way crash on I-5 in Thurston County.

The Washington State Patrol’s office reports that the crash occurred near the Scatter Creek Rest Area, just south of Olympia. Two cars collided around 5:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, an unidentified male, and the driver of the vehicle hit, an unidentified female, along with her passenger, another unidentified female, were all declared dead at the scene.

Another car was also hit after the initial crash, but the driver of that vehicle was not injured. The freeway was shut down for about 5 hours. As of now, it is not known if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
