It is here: the annual United Way Day of Caring!

Today, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., businesses, individuals and organizations are coming together for the largest day of volunteerism in our community. The event, put on by the United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties, is to benefit local programs and nonprofits, with hundreds of volunteers expected to come out!

A morning rally will be held at the Cowlitz County Fairgrounds grandstands. They will be collecting non-perishable food donations to support local families experiencing food insecurity. Gates open at 8 a.m. There, you can get T-shirts, turn in risk waivers, and get snacks and coffee. The rally starts at 8:30 a.m., and then you’ll head to project sites around 9 a.m.
