Two people were injured Friday afternoon when two fishing boats collided head-on on the Columbia River near Longview, according to The Daily News.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. on the Washington side of the river. Both boats were about 20 feet long. One person was thrown into the water and wasn’t wearing a life jacket.
In total, seven people were involved — four on one boat and three on the other. Two were taken to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center. TDN says one of the boats had been trolling slowly for fish when the other struck it head-on.
