There was very little change in the local special election results yesterday, with just a few more votes tallied for the Castle Rock School District Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy.

The result remains too close to call; however, the margin did tighten slightly. Yes votes are leading no votes by 82 votes. So far, there are 1,099 total yes votes and 1,017 no votes.

The Cowlitz County Elections office still shows around 400 votes left to be counted. The next update will be posted on their website by 5 p.m. today. A simple majority is all that’s needed for the levy to pass.

In Lewis County, things aren’t looking good for the Winlock School District Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy. It is currently failing by 59 votes, but the Lewis County Elections office indicates that only a handful of ballots remain to be counted.
