There has been a lot of talk recently about the rollout of FLOCK cameras, which are automated license plate readers and surveillance systems that some fear could be misused.

The Cowlitz County Department of Public Works made a post yesterday saying they want to make it clear that some new flashing stop signs with solar panels on them are not FLOCK cameras.

They say they have been getting concerns from community members about the new signs that are up toward Rose Valley on Witherbee Road.
