The Longview Police Department has released body camera footage showing the seriousness of the situation Friday on the Lewis & Clark Bridge.

Officers had responded to reports of a woman, later identified as 36-year-old Crystal Griffin of Chattanooga, Tennessee, standing on the rails of the Lewis & Clark Bridge. The video shows officers surrounding Griffin and attempting to de-escalate the situation while she had the ability to jump at any moment. She is heard cursing at them, telling them to get away and throwing an open container before officers run at her and grab her safely.

Griffin was found to have fentanyl on her. She was scheduled to show in court Monday; however, despite being in the Cowlitz County Jail, she did not show for unknown reasons.

Griffin faces charges including 3rd Degree Assault, Felony Harassment, Disorderly Conduct and Knowingly Possessing a Controlled Substance
