An Ethel man was injured Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on Highway 12.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. just off I-5, near the Papa Bear’s West Family Restaurant—formerly Spiffy’s. Troopers say 49-year-old Christopher Thomas was turning onto westbound Highway 12 when he lost control of his motorcycle, veered off the road, and crashed into a ditch.
Thomas was taken to Providence Centralia Hospital for treatment. He had been wearing a helmet, and troopers confirmed that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
